	How to backup mails on a corrupted email accounts

Solution Here I will list the commands on how you can backup all email messages if the email accounts has been corrupted and cannot login any more for you to download and backup all email messages.

First copy the emails but go to the directory where email accounts reside.

# pwd /home/USER/mail/DOMAIN.COM (Note: Change user and domain.com to your specific account)

# ls (to list all email user)

Then copy the account to somewhere say /home/USER/

# cp -r albert /home/user/user_bkp

then login to its cpanel account, remove the account from there. After that recreate the email
Then go to SSH again and copy the backup back to the account, then all the old mails will be there.

To copy go to /home/User/user_bkp then

# rsync -av * /home/user/mail/domain.com/user

I think it is a bit complicated.. Not sure if there is any other easy way
May be form cpanel or something

That's it, you already backup and recreate the email account and its mails intact without any changes or lost mails!

This steps is the best for WHM/cpanel users!!
